REFIX, the organic refreshing innovation in the recovery drinks category whose controlling interest was acquired by FMR Brands, will be present at the One Sustainable Ocean event, in connection with the 2022 UN Ocean conference, to showcase its ocean-related products. The event will take place at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, from the 27th of June to the 1st of July of 2022.
One Sustainable Ocean is a joint initiative organized by Lisbon City Council and several other entities, in the context of the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) 2022. Many related side events will happen, in particular the Science & Business2Sea which will have a dedicated area for companies and scientific institutions to showcase their products and services, an auditorium where the main conferences will take place, workshop rooms and a B2B networking lounge.
This is where REFIX will take part in the event, after accepting an associate-only invitation from the Portuguese Marine Bioresources Network (BlueBio Alliance), to collaborate and be present at one of their stands. FMR’s marketing director, Doriane Zalewski, together with Raúl Anta, REFIX’s founder & chief technical officer, will be promoting the delicious seawater-based ready-to-drink beverage and its sustainable business model that aims to grow a circular economy and help reduce pollution with plastics. Besides the physical products, there will be promotional flyers and a video displaying the philosophy of the brand and the benefits of drinking this healthy beverage.
The Science & Business2Sea will be held beneath the roof of the Portugal Pavilion, which is located just 3 minutes away by foot from the main conference. This is a free entry event focused on the ocean future, sustainability, circular economy, and innovation, with the main theme of “Scaling up ocean action based on science and innovation for the implementation of Goal 14: stocktaking, partnerships and solutions”. The Conference seeks innovative ideas to start a new chapter of global ocean action, in order to fulfill the urgent United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life below water.
